Salford And District Pool League is a small pool league based in and around the Salford area.  Currently we have teams in Central Salford, Broughton, Swinton and Prestwich.  We are hoping to expand the pool league to include teams from wider areas such as Eccles, Salford Quays and any other interested teams within a 5 mile radius of Mulvanys Lounge on St Stephen Street, Salford, M3 6AY.  To see if your pub is within range click here to open google maps, type in the 2 postcodes and get directions.

 

Match night is on a Monday night with meetings on the first Wednesday of each month.  The current league started in November 2011 and will run until approximately July 2012.

 

The league plays new rules, not world pool rules.  Attached is a copy of our rules which can be downloaded for viewing or printing.  Currently there are 7 singles matches followed by a doubles match (gallon).  The doubles match counts as a point towards the actual match score enabling the possibility of a draw and as a point towards the gallon trophy.  A point is scored for each game won and you also get 3 points for winning the match, 1 for drawing and 0 for losing, similar to the football league points system.
